The Seven Deadly Sins
Of the practice..
Often, we’re the enemy when working towards our own goals.
What I Learned:
“Visuals over anything you can explain.”
Instead of writing this week, I’m taking the advice given, and using visuals (yes.. I sketch these) of seven common practice sins collected from orthodontists, consultants, one speaker, and a fellow sales professional to help make your practice that much better. Enjoy.
I.
II.
III.
IV.
V.
VI.
VII.
Sometimes, not doing what others do is far more advantageous.
The inspiration behind each:
Consider having professionals handle your website. “Don’t leave SEO to your bro.”
Adults can be very self-conscious. Don’t announce them… walk up and greet them.
If possible, consider leaving an adult patient upright in the chair vs. leaving them laying there, mouth open, alone… before the doctor arrives.
Dabbling is a bad idea. Commit, implement, evaluate, and change based on your vision—not your friend’s.
Visuals over anything you can explain in consult.
Consider promoting a team member to a leadership role to avoid the doctor being a one-stop shop for every answer.
Payment time does not need to equal treatment time.
